RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) status means you have a shared side berth and a valid ticket to board. But every RAC passenger hopes for a confirmed, full berth. After chart preparation, GapSeat helps you identify vacant berths so you can approach the TTE for an upgrade or plan your travel more comfortably.
When you book a ticket and the train has no confirmed berths left, you may get an RAC berth.
